The Succor Transitional Program (STP) is one program of Succor, Inc. that helps those who are homeless, recently released from incarceration, struggling with substance abuse, struggling with life altering medical issues or simply having difficulty transitioning from one stage of life to another. It focuses on helping these indigent populations achieve independence and sustainable housing. STP aims to be a leader in the Baltimore Metro Area creating a safe environment where residents can receive housing, counseling, support, employable skills, money management skills, and necessary life skills to be autonomous.

Each resident at STP is required to attend a day activity; work, school, substance abuse program, adult medical care program or a partial hospitalization program. Self help meetings (i.e. NA, AA, Celebrate Recovery, supportive religious organizations, etc.) will be required for some and strongly encouraged for all residents.

All residents are provided with

  • Bed, pillow, sheets, blankets, comforters for use while living in home
  • Cable television
  • Nutrition, Financial Planning & Goal setting
  • A computer with online access for use by all house members
  • Dishes, pots and pans and kitchen utensils for use while living in home
  • Kitchen towels for use while living in home. (Residents supply their own bath towels.)

Pre-requisites for all residents of Succor program include:

  • You will need to be Clean/Sober before entering the home
  • You will need to be employed, plan to secure full-time employment within two weeks of entering the home
  • You will need to attend at least three house meetings per week AFTER your first 30 days of residency
  • You will need to attend at least one meeting per day for your FIRST 30 days (based on needs)
  • You will be required to complete weekly chores in addition to maintaining your room.
  • Program fees can be paid by money order or cashiers check payable to: Succor Transitional Program or STP
  • Be prepared to pay first week’s program fees, which is due upon move-in and is non- refundable.

Program fees are as follows:

  • $75 deposit-must be paid to reserve your spot in the program
  • $125 weekly

  • Medications
  • Casual Clothing, Gym Clothes, Dress shoes, Tennis, Sandals
  • Towels, Bath Towels & Face Cloths
  • Soap, Toothbrush, Toothpaste
  • Shampoo, Conditioner
  • Reading Material

Items NOT Allowed:

  • Candles
  • Pornography
  • Posters and Paintings
  • Clothing of poor taste
  • Excessive Amount of clothing or personal items
  • Reading Material
